What Watch Owners Have Shared
Ahmad Hafiz

Brought in my grandfather's Seiko 5 that had not been running for several years. The movement overhaul took about three weeks, and when I collected it the watch was keeping excellent time. The written condition note they provided was a nice touch — I'll keep it with the watch. Honest people, no pressure at any point.

Had the water-resistance service done on a Tissot T-Touch I use for hiking. The whole thing was straightforward — I dropped it off, they called to confirm the scope, and it was ready in four days. They showed me the old gaskets in a small envelope and explained what had worn. Takes a bit longer than some quick-turnaround places but you know the work has been done properly.

I brought in my late mother's watch for the dial and case restoration — an older Citizen that had scratches on the case and a hazy crystal. I was nervous about changing the look of it. The team was very patient, went through exactly what they would and would not touch, and asked me at each step. The result is exactly right. The character is still there, just cleaner.

First time bringing a watch here. Was referred by a friend who has been coming for years. Left my automatic with them for the full service. Radzuan explained everything clearly — what they found, what lubricants they use, and how long the timing observation takes. Collected it running several seconds per day better than before. Very satisfied.

Good workshop. I have brought three watches here over the past few years — two battery and gasket services, and one full overhaul. They communicate well, the turnaround for the water-resistance work is quick, and the pricing is clear upfront. I appreciate that they do not suggest unnecessary work. Worth the drive from the Tebrau area.

I inherited a watch from my father that had not been worn in years. I was not sure whether it was worth repairing. They looked at it at the counter without charging anything, told me what the movement needed, and gave me time to decide. I went ahead with the overhaul and it is now running well. What I appreciated most was that they did not rush me into a decision.

A Closer Look at Three Watches We Have Attended To
Case Study 01 · Complete Service Overhaul
A 1974 Seiko 5 That Had Not Run in Eleven Years
The Situation
The watch had been stored in a drawer since the early 2010s. The mainspring had lost tension, the oils had dried and thickened, and the rotor was stiff. The owner wanted it running again as a daily wearer, maintaining the original condition of the case.
What We Did
Full disassembly of the 7S26 movement, ultrasonic cleaning of all parts, inspection of the mainspring (no replacement needed), re-lubrication with period-appropriate oils, regulation over four days in multiple positions. The crown seal was replaced.
The Outcome
Watch returned running at +6 seconds per day — within the manufacturer's specification for this calibre. The owner collected within three weeks and reported back two months later that it continued to perform well. A written condition record was provided on collection.
"I did not expect it to run so well after sitting for so long. The condition note explained everything they found, which I appreciated."

Case Study 02 · Dial & Case Restoration
A Citizen Automatic Worn Daily by a Client's Mother for Twenty Years
The Situation
The watch was sentimental and had significant case wear — deep scratches on the case sides, a chipped mineral crystal, and a dial that had developed a slight patchy discolouration at the four-o'clock position. The owner wanted the watch wearable, but did not want its history removed.
What We Did
Discussed the scope in detail with the client, agreeing to refinish the case sides and lugs only (leaving the caseback as-is), fit a new mineral crystal, and gently clean the dial surface without any painting or re-printing of indices. Photographs were taken before work began.
The Outcome
Returned within nine days. The case retained the softness of age on its flat surfaces while the edges looked clean. The new crystal clarified the dial considerably. The client noted the discolouration — once invisible through the chipped old crystal — was actually appealing under the new glass.
"They spoke to me like someone who understood why the watch mattered. That is not something every repairer does."
— Nur R., Kulai
Case Study 03 · Water-Resistance Restoration
A Tissot T-Touch Used Outdoors That Had Developed Condensation Inside the Crystal
The Situation
The client noticed condensation appearing inside the glass after heavy rain. The watch had not had a gasket change in several years. The battery was also due for replacement. The condensation was visible on the dial surface at times.
What We Did
Full water-resistance service: battery replaced, all gaskets (crown, caseback, tube) renewed, case cleaned inside and out, crystal polished. A pressure test was conducted after sealing to confirm the water resistance was restored. Replaced parts were collected in an envelope.
The Outcome
Watch returned in four working days. Pressure test results indicated the watch was restored to its rated 100m resistance. The client reported no recurrence of condensation across three months of regular outdoor use, including a camping trip in Cameron Highlands.
"Fast and thorough. Seeing the actual old gaskets in the envelope gave me confidence that the work had been done rather than just billed for."
— Soo C., Johor Bahru
